Early in my career, I thought that heads down, hard work and being an expert was the key to getting recognition and promotion. But others were getting promoted around me. People would get more recognition for doing less work. 😔
Why?
I realized that doing the work is important but doing work for others is more important.
You have create the highest value for your customers, your team and your project stakeholders.

Here’s how I create connection to make sure I’m delivering the highest value #technology projects:
1️⃣ Be Curious: Know their goals and concerns. What’s going on in your world? What do they need to achieve next year? The more we know, the more we connect.
2️⃣ Be of Value: Project goals are more than checkboxes. What’s really going? What’s most important to you right now? Then do that.
3️⃣ Be Interested: Go beyond the schedule, the risks. Genuinely ask how they are doing. Ask how they are feeling?
